ZABBAR.RUN is one of Malta’s most established and loved road-running events, bringing together community spirit, athletic excellence, and the unique charm of the historic village of Żabbar. Built on the success of the renowned Zabbar5K, the event has grown into a dynamic 10K and 5K series, welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities.

Now in its 9th edition, the Żabbar 5K has become one of the largest 5K races in Malta, attracting hundreds of participants year after year. Over the years, many of Malta’s leading athletes have taken part, helping to cement the race’s reputation for quality organisation, competitive spirit, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

In 2025, the organising team proudly introduces the Zabbar10K, expanding the event and offering a longer challenge through the picturesque streets and outskirts of this charming southern village. The 10K race will take place on Sunday 17th May 2026, while the much-anticipated 5K returns on Sunday 23rd August 2026.

Both races start from Zabbar St. Patrick Football Ground and feature scenic routes, water stations, medical support, and a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Whether you’re racing for a personal best, jogging with friends, or walking to enjoy the views, ZABBAR.RUN has something for everyone.
